Daniel, I too have a VERY similar story to yours… My dad worked his way to become the Field Foreman, working mainly in the peach orchards of the fertile crescent of Northern California, I’ve witnessed first hand immigration officers coming upon farm workers, and scattering the laborers into nearby field and bushes.

great post! love this line especially, “When a prophecy is clearly confirmed it will embolden a person to continue working for God without any lingering doubt….” When a prophecy has been confirmed in my life it has emboldened me to utilize my gifts to help others. I feel very very blessed. I often think to myself that God is quite the poet, considering the themes we find in retrospect…. Once again, beautiful post.

I’ve been struggling lately trying to word my mission and purpose in life. For me, after reading your article, it’s about my passion for helping others. But one way I have been blessed with talents is helping people to share their story.

This is probably why I enjoy communication, marketing, and PR so much.

It’s the storytelling that changes lives that appeals to me.

Thanks Don, without a spiritual component to personal development one cannot reach his or her greatest potential and walk in their destiny. It’s all about empowerment, and unfortunately kids today are getting a bum deal in schools.

This is great advice!! I would just say to youth as well… don’t ever forget that ‘La Familia’ is everything… love & respect, be good listeners. If you all would just stop and listen sometimes to our elders, you could save yourselves from so much heart ache.
