Joel Garcia, M.A.

Joel Garcia is President and Founder of Latino Townhall, Inc., a private postsecondary leadership school for Hispanics in Nevada. Our leadership school was launched in September of 2011, and provides students a course menu of twelve leadership classes ranging from self-discovery, masterful leadership, team building and community outreach. Joel is a season life and leadership coach, who enjoys developing leaders and dynamic teams, mentoring and coaching individuals to discover and manifest their life’s potential. Joel is author of Life Coaching for Teens: Building Confidence, Developing Character and Living Courageously. Joel holds a Master’s degree in Organizational Leadership with an emphasis in coaching and mentoring from Regent University. 

Areas of Expertise: Leadership and team development, church growth strategist, organizational performance, culture assessments and shifts, motivational speaker, life and spiritual formation coach.

Raymond Figueroa, M.A., M.S., LADC

Ray Figueroa, Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor, is the program coordinator for the Justice Court, Las Vegas Township – DUI Court Program.  His academic accomplishments include two masters degrees; Master of Science in Operations Management from the University of Arkansas and a Master of Arts in Counseling from Chapman University from Orange, California. He also attended the University of Nevada Las Vegas for a year where he continued his graduate studied in secondary education and pedagogy. Ray has been a licensed drug and alcohol counselor for the past ten years working in both the private and public sector. In the mid 1990s, Ray became a Certified Rehabilitation Counselor and worked with the disabled for eight years in the State of Nevada’s Department of Rehabilitation as a vocational rehabilitation counselor. Ray also finished a one-year program of study in Christian Counseling and is certified as a Christian Counselor through the American Association of Christian Counselors (AACC). His contributions to the church include teaching, counseling, counseling center supervisor, church board member and financial advisor. Currently he is the Assistant Director of the Las Vegas District, Church of God’s Regional three-year Spanish Bible Institute, a position he has held since 2007. Ray enjoys teaching tremendously, having taught five years in the United States Air Force as a Professional Military Instructor, two years for Central Texas College as an adjunct instructor, six years for the City of North Las Vegas as a Traffic Safety/DUI Instructor, and six years for Bethany University as an adjunct professor. Ray retired from the United States Air Force in 1993 after 23 years of active military service.
